VnM4 Pro Sign Maker Label Maker
Supplies are on top of the rack where the printer is at in a bin labelled “VNM4 SUPPLIES”
The very big label printer. It can print labels up to 4 inches, but we only have print media stocked for 2 inch printing.
Black ribbons are provided.
Various tapes are provided, please keep them stocked up if things are low! see consumables heading below for details.
Privacy
This machine uses a transfer ribbon.
A negative image of anything you print is retained inside the machine on the spent ink ribbon.
Do not use this machine to print anything you don't mind leaving inside the machine, and eventually, when the ribbon runs out, the trash.
Symbol Chart
Borrowed from the font files embedded in the user manual pdf. To change symbol map go to the top menu → printer settings → Symbol Settings.
Consumables
The printer consumes ink rolls and print media. The ink rolls are 4“ in a variety of colors, the media rolls comes in a variety of widths, both blank and partially pre-printed. Both are available for purchase from the manufacturer as well as the usual marketplaces like Amazon. Initial assessment suggests that the manufacturer's website has about the same prices as alternative options, if not lower.
Media

The following print media is available in 1”-4“ wide rolls, 150ft long. Price is listed in the table below.
- Normal vinyl sticker tape available in black, blue, brown, clear, green, grey, orange, purple, red, white and yellow
- Eco friendly tape (unclear what this means) only available in white, 3” not available
- Reflective vinyl tape available in black, blue, green, orange, red, white and yellow
- Glow-in-the-dark vinyl tape only available in green

Other options that cost more but also look fun:
- Magnetic tape only available in white
- Fluorescent vinyl tape available in green, orange, pink, red, yellow
- OSHA/ANSI labels 3“x5” white labels that come pre-printed with a strip at the top that says caution, danger, notice, or warning.
- GHS Labels 3“x2” or 4“x6” labels that come pre-printed with a 1-4 diamonds on them. Definitely seems like it's for something, definitely don't know what.
Ink

- blue, green, red and reflective white rolls are $239.40 (~$0.243/ft)
