Aside from the water hookup, it works like an ordinary, low-end dishwasher. There are several cycle modes. These are documented in the manual, and should be documented here. ## Use > **TODO:** Check against our dishwasher. > > This is documented by `sirocyl` based on experience with a same-model dishwasher, but may not be accurate to the one we have at space. Will revise and correct, unless it has been done so. 1. Load dishes. 2. Connect to water. 3. Connect to power, turn on. 4. Load detergent. 5. Start and run cycle. 6. Unload dishes. 7. Turn off. (optionally) Disconnect power. 8. Disconnect water. ### Loading dishes Ensure that the rotating sprayer is free of obstructions, that no dishes or flatware are poked down through the dish baskets. Ensure nothing is touching the heating/drying element. ### Connecting to water The dishwasher connects to the sink spout using a screw-on tap and a quick-connect inlet. 1. Run the HOT water tap until it is most hot. Should be hot enough to see steam coming from the sink basin. 2. Turn off water. 3. If quick-connect tap is not on the spout, unscrew the spout and screw on the quick-connect tap. *Do not lose the regular spout.* 4. Position the inlet assembly onto the quick-connect tap, and pull the neck back on the inlet until it clicks into place. 5. Slowly turn on the HOT water, ensuring that it does not leak out. If it leaks, reposition quick-connect inlet. [[#maintenance|Check and replace O-rings]] if that doesn't help. ### Loading and choosing detergent [TODO: how to use tablets, powders? what not to use?] #### Prewash detergent #### Jet-Dry/drying aid ### Choosing and running a cycle [TODO: Cycle types from manual; cycle times] ### Unloading dishes Set dishes according to [[:space:kitchen:storage:dishes|prescribed layout.]] ### Disconnecting from water There is a pressure built up in the quick-connect inlet when the dishwasher is not running. 1. Turn off the water 2. Press the red button on the quick-connect inlet to release pressure. 3. Now pull back the neck on the spout to disconnect the quick-connect inlet. Spill out excess water. ## What to wash - Dishes, bowls, plates, forks, spoons, knives, cups, glasses, etc ## What NOT to wash - Non-food-safe items, lab equipment - Specific exceptions? - Melty plastics - 3D prints ## Maintenance ### Cleaning ### Replacements, parts, service #### Wear items ### Manuals
