As a member, you have the collective responsibility to keep the space clean and locked up by the time everyone leaves.

• Clean up after yourself:
  • Do not leave equipment around when you leave.
  • Do not leave food waste outside the trash bin.
• Ensure no dishes too old are left in the sink.
  • You don't have to wash them if they're not yours (unless they've sat there for several days), but please keep note of this and remind others via chat.
• Turn off all main lights, especially ceiling lights.
  • If any bright light cannot be turned off and a note hasn't been made before, please make one.
  • Ambient and decorative lights (e.g. string lights) can stay on 24/7.
• Ensure the door latch is fully latched down, and that you cannot pull the door open without unlocking.
• Ensure the door is locked as you leave. Give it a shove from outside to make sure.

If the space has accumulated too much trash (especially food waste trash), then please throw them out ASAP. Food waste left alone at the space for a few days will cause a horrible stink, even if they're in the trash can.

If for some reason you cannot throw out the trash, please try to make a note of this via chat.

Note: READ THIS VERY CAREFULLY

Skipping a step or two might cause you to be locked out in the stairway. Be extremely careful when navigating throughout the building, and do NOT enter places you're not supposed to.

If you're doing this at night or in the dark, make sure you carry your phone in case of emergency or for when you need a flashlight.

If you're uncertain or this is your first time doing this, please reach out to a member at the space who have done this before and ask them to accompany you.

1. Ensure trash is all properly bagged up, and that there is no leak in any of the bags.
2. Carry the bags out to the far end of the hallway.
3. You will see a propped-open door. Navigate through this door, and make sure the wooden block on the floor is jammed between the door and the frame so that the door doesn't close shut. If you fail to do this, you might lock yourself out in the stairway.
4. Go down 2 floors (second → mezzanine → first). The stairway is extremely dark at night, so use a flashlight if you must.
5. At the back of the first floor stairway is a door to the back alley. Open this door to get out, but make sure it doesn't close behind you, else you will be locked out.
6. Throw the trash out into the correct bins.
7. Navigate back to the space in the inverse order of these steps. Be mindful of the wooden block; you don't want to lock someone else out of the stairway.
