Member Project Rack

Member Project Rack

The Member Project Rack is a server(-ish) rack where you can host your own small-form machines for various projects around the space. It can be found right next to the Workshop area.

the top part of the member project rack shown. visible in the picture is a receipt printer and a USB-C charger hub labeled "charging station".

Only small-form machines are allowed. We do not allow hosting large server-sized machines, especially power-hungry and/or noisy ones, without special permission.

Below is a list of what should typically be good:

  • Raspberry Pi machines.
  • Small-form factor PCs, such as a Thinkcentre Tiny.
  • Accessories, such as a receipt printer, although please keep these sparse.

Below is a list of what NOT to put here:

  • Very noisy machines, such as ones with loud fans!
  • Space-consuming racked servers.

If you have questions, please reach out to the Facilities Committee.
