Elevator

Elevator

This is a Kone [model?] elevator.

In case the elevator is disabled, notify us: [email protected] or via socials listed on our homepage. We will contact the landlord posthaste.

All usual elevator safety guidelines apply here.

In case of an emergency, this elevator is equipped with a telephone button, as required by law. This calls emergency services. Do not attempt to force doors open unless specifically instructed to by emergency response personnel, or if grave injury is likely otherwise.

Door Hold feature

The elevator has a Door Hold button to keep the door open while moving, loading or unloading equipment. This holds the door open for a long while but not forever, as the elevator will eventually get angry and try to very slowly close the door on you.

Please use this instead of hand-holding the door sensors, as leaving the door sensors blocked will cause the elevator to report a “Jam”, make an audible alarm, angrily flash lights at you, and forcibly close in an attempt to free the jam.

This will also register an event in the maintenance log; one too many events within a maintenance period, and the elevator may become disabled.

Padding

This is a passenger elevator, and is not intended for freight or excessively large or heavy items. However, the elevator has clips and placements for padding.

If you are planning on moving large, heavy and sharp equipment that could leave dents and scratches in the panels and ceiling of the elevator, on behalf of our landlords, we ask that you request Elevator Pads from us (and we'll ask our landlord) ahead of time.
